This work brings the collection to a close with an essential image: a naked woman is about to grasp a lemon, while two little birds fix their gaze upon it. It marks the final collapse of mental barriers, the moment in which we fully expose ourselves before life. The lemon represents life’s sharpness: at times it is hard, bitter, difficult to swallow. But it is also real, necessary. This work invites us to welcome life for what it is, recognising its beauty and its value, both in its brightest moments and in its harshest ones.
